How to communicate consistency.

We already know it, consistency is key and where your thoughts go your energy flows. Easy to say, not always easy to do because it requires constant attention, mental focus, and planning. To achieve what you desire, you need to believe you can do so, and you must continuously work at doing just that!
This life is all about cycles, and what you choose to do with your time here. It is our active habits that show the world our present truth. Habits are made from patterns that you do consistently. They take a long time to build up and show their true colors, but progress can be dissolved quickly.

In our yoga practice, it can be rather simple to see what we practice consistently and what we do not... for the poses we are best at are most likely the ones we choose to practice the most. Take this example below... you can very clearly see that in 2018 I was working consistently at crescent lunge, and practicing backbends regularly (notice, I do realize that I am in low crescent lunge in the yellow pant photo). But in 2019 my yoga practice was more focused on core strength, balance, and stability.

So you mean to say that if I want to get better at something, all I have to do is work at that thing consistently?
- yes.

A great way to improve your yoga practice is to take selfie pictures or videos of the poses you'd like to be better at. Give it a go by taking a selfie once a week (practicing consistency here) for a month. Click below to learn more about Yogagen's new feedback tool for growing your yoga practice with intuition and creativity. Here you can keep track of your yoga selfies and keep some analytical info (a journal entry) along with to keep intuitively in tune with your progress and yoga development.

Wisdom from my childhood horse jumping coach - practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. If you practice something to get better at it, you will indeed get better at it with consistent practice. If you want your pose to be perfect, then you must consistently practice being your present version of perfect during that pose.

"Be consistent with your efforts and your activity and you will succeed."
