My yoga teacher Matthew Higdon proposed a yoga challenge this week. It involves holding any yoga poses of your choice for 60s. In doing so I found that I have a lot of work to do with stillness.
Standing split is the pose I decided to start with, and after watching the 1 minute video I realized just how much practice I need to do on breathing slowly. I started really thinking about this concept and realized that stillness requires some very intentional effort, but the blissful experience of it is so worth it in the end. So I want to extend the challenge to you! Prop up that phone, and do a single yoga pose for 60 seconds as best you can. Tell me how it goes by tagging me in your insta story! |
